Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya - DSVV

The formal establishment of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, Uttaranchal took place by an ordinance (22-1-2002) by the Governor of the state in the year 2002. The university was founded with the view to encourage studies in Dev Sanskriti or Divine Indian Culture. Yugrishi Pt.Shriram Sharma Acharya visualized the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, which was later given a shape by Vandaniya Mataji Bhawgati Devi Sharma.
The main aim of the university is to unite contemporary education with spiritual training to cultivate well-rounded, competent and personally uplifted graduates who have a scientifically grounded understanding and experience of spiritual transformation and a powerful drive to use their gifts to promote the greater good of society. The ultimate objective of the students at DSVV is not mere bread winning but also molding themselves into responsible citizens for a developed and prosperous society.
